Our Main Clinic provides comprehensive general and pediatric dentistry services for all. Located in the United Way Human Service building on 9th Street north of downtown Des Moines and I-235. Free parking is available in the parking lots directly South and North of our building. Please do not park under the canopy or in the circle driveway.
The Smile Squad

The Smile Squad is a community- based mobile dental program whose mission is two-fold. The first is to provide screenings and sealants for preschool children. The second is to travel to school districts in the Greater Des Moines area and provide comprehensive dentistry to students.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Dental Connections accepts all insurance types, including state insurance (Medicaid), private insurance, and self pay. Payment is expected at the time of service. We accept cash, check, credit (Visa & Mastercard), and CareCredit.
Dental Connections partners with CareCredit to offer promotional financing options for expenses of $200 or more. CareCredit is a health, wellness and personal care credit card that gives you the ability to pay over time.
Services
*Our dentists are sometimes able to complete your root canal in our clinic; however, there are times where your case is better served by a specialist. Should your case require a referral, we will help provide that information to you and help get it scheduled.
SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT
Call 515-244-9136 during our regular business hours to schedule an appointment. You will be prompted to leave a voicemail after business hours and on weekends.
What You Need to Know
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to allow time to check in and to complete any required paperwork or updates.
- We use text, phone and e-mail to remind you of your upcoming appointments – confirming your appointment ensures that you receive prompt and courteous service on the day of your visit!
- All children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who remains in the clinic while treatment is being provided.
- If you are being seen as an adult, please ensure you have someone with you to watch your children while you’re being seen.
- Smoking, eating, or drinking is not permitted anywhere in the clinic.
- Please read our Patient Behavior Policy.
- Read our cancellation policy.
Remember to bring the following:
- Picture ID
- Insurance card(s)
- List of medications (if applicable)
- Current x-rays (if available)
EMERGENCY
For dental emergencies during our regular business hours, walk-ins will be accommodated as scheduling allows. For emergencies after hours, we recommend you seek care at an emergency clinic or hospital of your choice. To avoid dental emergencies, please schedule regular dental checkups. We cannot guarantee that walk-ins will be seen the same day.
SPECIAL CLOSURES
Dental Connections may close in situations of severe, inclement weather. We will announce closures via the patient messaging system and on our Facebook page.
CANCELLATIONS
We understand that occasionally you may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment due to emergencies or other unexpected issues. Excessive no shows and/or cancellations may result in discharge from our practice.
Our standard cancellation policy is prior to 8 a.m. the day of the appointment.
PATIENT BEHAVIOR
Dental Connections has zero tolerance for violence and/or abuse from our patients/families directed towards Dental Connections employees, other patients, business associates, or property. Zero tolerance for violence and/or abuse and the consequence of that behavior is clearly communicated to patients in the Patient Behavior Policy.
